I was wrong about Socrates

It turns out that 'Know Yourself" was a Delphic maxim which predated Socrates. According to Prof Dave Spurrit, Socrates advocated the following - Be Excellent to Each Other.

This suggests a deep appreciation of relational wisdom, something I intend to write more about as I believe its a massive blindspot in our modern understanding of the Self.

Dave and I studied philosophy together at Uni and while I abandoned my Philosophy Masters to go spearfishing, Dave held his course and went on to become a Professor and Head of Department. Thanks for the correction, @doctorspurt
