In this talk, Roger shares the incredible backstory behind the Oscar-winning documentary “My Octopus Teacher”, from his perspective as the Director of Photography on the project and a long-time collaborator with Craig Foster. He also shares his unique take on what the film is actually about, and why it has so much to teach us about life on our planet.

Dancing with Dragons

Along with Didier Noirot, Roger was one of the first people to film Nile Crocodiles underwater in the papyrus caves of the Okavango Delta in Botswana. In this talk, Roger shares what it was like to dive with these calculating predators for the first time, and how he overcame his claustrophobia and fear of dying in the process.
