Bull Sharks appear in unusually large numbers in the summer months of November, December and January, possibly to feed on the aggregation of giant kingfish (Caranx Ignobilis) that appear around the same time. The biggest group of bulls we encountered was fifteen. Unlike tiger sharks the bulls tend to keep their distance in the blue water, and resist you swimming underneath them. We had the most success approaching these animals on breathhold, and found that as a group they would slowly build up confidence as the day wore on, passing closer and closer and eventually allowing us to dive beneath them.
